Parent Agreement 2024

This Referral Agreement is made effective on the November 21, 2024 between River City Sitters, LLC AND (Client) and is made with respect to the following facts and circumstances.

1. Nature of Service: As requested, River City Sitters shall use its best efforts to provide suitable individuals to provide child care and tutoring services on an on-call and permanent basis.
2. Fees:
   • Annual Registration Fee: Annual Registration Fee: Upon enrollment, client agrees to pay River City Sitters an annual registration fee of $35.00
   • On-Call Referral Fee: A $14 referral fee is charged each time the client is provided with a sitter/tutor. If Client decides to hire a caregiver/tutor referred by River City Sitters on a permanent basis, Client acknowledges and agrees to compensate River City Sitters for its service by paying a placement fee. The placement fee will be determined by the number of days per week the sitter will be used, as well as, the duration of the permanent placement. The client is charged a search fee of $35 for River City Sitters, LLC to search for a sitter/s. If the client hires a referred sitter, the remaining balance of the permanent referral fee is due. If the client decides not to hire the referred sitter(s) for whatever reason, the search fee will not be refunded. Request Permanent Placement Policies for more information.
   • Permanent Placement Fee: If Client decides to hire a caregiver/tutor referred by River City Sitters on a permanent basis, Client acknowledges and agrees to compensate River City Sitters for its service by paying a placement fee. The placement fee will be determined by the number of days per week the sitter will be used, as well as, the duration of the permanent placement. The client is charged a search fee of $35 for River City Sitters, LLC to search for a sitter/s. If the client hires a referred sitter, the remaining balance of the permanent referral fee is due. If the client decides not to hire the referred sitter(s) for whatever reason, the search fee will not be refunded. Request Permanent Placement Policies for more information.
   • Babysitting Rates: Client understands and agrees to directly pay the placed babysitter an hourly rate of $12.00 for 1-2 children, $14 for 3-4 children and $16 for 5 children.
   • Sharing a Sitter: Families that live in the Richmond area who want to hire a sitter for children from multiple families in one home can do so as long as all families are registered clients. The referral fee is $18. The hourly babysitting rate starts at $13/hr for two children and increases depending on the number of children.
   • Contacting Sitters: Clients are to contact River City Sitters, LLC each time they would like a sitter. Client agrees not to contact any River City Sitters sitter directly to schedule future babysitting dates including permanent placements. Please note that if a sitter met through River City Sitters is utilized by an active member outside the referral process, a $500 referral fee will automatically be charged to your account.
   • Sick Child Policy: We do not provide sitters for children who are vomiting, having diarrhea, running a fever, or have a contagious illness, such as the flu or strep throat. If children have been sick with a contagious illness, they must have been on an antibiotic or be symptom free for at least 24 hours before we will provide a sitter. Clients are to make River City Sitters aware if the requested sitter will be babysitting a sick child either at the time of the request or prior to the sitter coming to babysit. This policy is for permanent placements as well.
   • Cancellation of Services: a) Referral fees will be charged any time a sitter is found or confirmed through River City Sitters, including when clients cancel. b) If a cancellation is made less than 5 hours from the scheduled babysitting date(s), client agrees to pay the babysitter a $25.00 cancellation fee if another job cannot be found for the scheduled sitter.
   • Disclosure of Information: Client acknowledges and agrees that all information told or provided to River City Sitters is not confidential, and that information provided shall be told to babysitter/tutor to match client's job description.
   • Relationship of Parties: Client agrees that River City Sitters is solely providing a referral service. River City Sitters shall have no responsibility or liability for any actions or omissions by caregivers/ tutors.
   • Non-Compete Agreement: The undersigned client hereby agrees not to directly or indirectly compete with the business of River City Sitters and its successors and assigns during the period of agreement and for a period of five years following termination of agreement. The term "not compete" as used herein shall mean that the client shall not own, manage, operate, consult or be employed in a business substantially similar to or competitive with, the present business of the River City Sitters or such other business activity in which River City Sitters may substantially engage in. This non-compete agreement shall extend only for a radius of 120 miles from the present location of the Company and shall be in full force and effect for five years, commencing with the date of agreement termination.
   • Payment of Services: Any balance that is 60 days past due, will be turned over to a collection agency.
   • Entire Agreement: The aforesaid constitutes the entire agreement between the client and River City Sitters. In the event litigation arises out of this agreement, and River City Sitters prevails in litigation, then client agrees to reimburse River City Sitters for its costs and attorney fees. All litigation must occur in Richmond, VA.

I have read the above policies for hiring a sitter from River City Sitters, LLC. I understand and agree to all of the policies.
